Floating jelly babies

 Badly photoshopped in ood picture

Hey look here's the exact same picture on  a hunger games/doctor who crossover poster i just happen to have on my phone

A FLOATING DORITO!?!?

I don't think anyone fully understands the way this dorito has changed my life forever

Oh, and if you haven't watched the trailer already, you can watch it here:

PS: I have tickets to watch the 50th anniversary at the cinema!!!! They only went on sale today, but after my experience with the proms, I decided not to risk it. (althought it is only a local cinema and I doubt there are many people in my town who i don't already know as obsessed as me)

I have a tumblr now. Tumblrs are cool.

So, this is pretty self-explanatory, but I have a tumblr now! I realised that tumblr is better for fangirling and blogger is more for general stuff. However! I WILL still be posting on this blog, so don't worry!

EX-STRAW-MINATE! (god, i need better titles)

Today I visited an ice cream-making farm that decided to build a 35ft. Dalek out of straw. Because my life is that weird.

LOOK AT IT'S AWESOMENESS. It actually moved and everything! It was supposed to say exterminate, but in the time I was there, it only said it once :(

The ice cream company obviously thought "Hey, let's use this as an opportunity to sell stuff!" and now charge £3.60 for a 'DaLick' cone, which is just three scoops and a dalek wafer. But it was still cool geddit? Cos, ice cream is cool, and bow ties are cool, and, and... I'm sorry.

50TH ANNIVERSARY TRAILER!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so, the trailer hasn't actually been released properly yet, the people who saw it at comic con are lucky little daleks buuuut... io9 released the details, and I even fangirled over that! So, non-spoilerphobes,  READ IT. READ IT NOW.

Doctor Who Prom 2013 Poll thingy!

So, the Doctor Who prom was on last night! I wanted to go but the tickets were all sold out on the first day *grumble grumble* I listened to it on the radio and it was AWESOME! So, as my series 7 poll is going nowhere, I thought I might as well get you to vote for your favourite song/tune/whatever from the prom! (mine was The Impossible Girl. So much Whouffle...)

If you missed it, listen to it here and the second part here. If you live outside of the UK, ummmm... I dunno, look it up on YouTube! Someone's bound to have put it on there.

Evidence that Doctor Who is real #2

I'm lucky I got this photo! I was going into a car park, and the bus stopped for about 30 seconds, just long enough to spot a crack in time!

PS: I decided on my cosplay for the 50th con! On November 22nd 2013 I will be dressed as *drumroll* the TARDIS! But not just any TARDIS, I will be the TARDIS AS A CAT!!! Oi! Don't you go looking at me as if I'm crazy! I admit, I am a bit It was based on this quote: "The TARDIS is like a cat, a bit slow to trust."

Anyway, despite that being approximately 132 days, 13 hours and 54 minutes from now, I have already found a website that specializes in making clip-on cat ears! not that I'm over-excited or anything...

Monday 8 July 2013

OMGOMGOMG I'M GOING TO THE OFFICIAL DOCTOR WHO 50TH ANNIVERSARY CONVENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, the title pretty much explains it all, but if you can't read the base code of the universe, (aka overly excited fangirl-ish) I'm going to the OFFICIAL (BBC confirmed) Doctor Who 50th anniversary celebratory convention in London! (it probably should be Cardiff but whatever) If you want to buy tickets, click here , but when I looked, the only remaining tickets were on the Friday (22nd Nov) and if it carries on at this rate (2 days sold out and the booking only started this morning!) those tickets have probably sold out as well! But never mind that, I'll be able to meet MATT SMITH!!!!!!!!!!! I won't be able to get a photo though, they were all (surprise, surprise) sold out :( AND SYLVESTER MCCOY!!!!!!! AND COLIN BAKER!!!!!! (Plus I'll thrash everyone in the quizzes >:D What? They're aimed at adults? Meh, I'll beat them anyway)

If you're going (on the Friday) look out for me and say hi!

< I'll look a bit like this although my head might not be there as it'll probably explode Oh, and I'm wearing an image translator in that photo I'm definitely not just a human pretending to be a catkind...

Evidence that Doctor Who is real #1

I was in an English lesson today, which we spent continuing to read Treasure Island which so far is mind-numbingly boring. The copy my school has contains a load of extra pictures and information in it, and one of the pictures had a guy in it who looked exactly like the second doctor!

The Second Doctor Treasure Island pic (it's the guy in the middle. Sorry for the terrible quality)

Bearing in mind that this picture was painted about 300 years ago, this is another piece of evidence that the doctor exists!

Pottermore, Cave Paintings, and OMG AWESOME (yet fake) 50th anniversary trailer.

Ok, so today's post will be in 3 parts:

1. Pottermore

I was on Pottermore yesterday for the first time in a while (HexAuror27671 in case you want to friend me!) and I had a new friend request. Who's status just happened to be "Doctor Who Rules!! <3" After a short fangirling heart attack, I clicked on the Hufflepuff common room, thinking this Who-fest was over. But hello again! I spotted two people who I'd never talked to before, one's nickname was Clara Oswald, and the other's nickname was Don't Blink! Those two and another person had just started a conversation about the show, and of course, I joined in. Eventually, we got a load of Hufflepuffs asking what Doctor Who was I mean, honestly, how could they NOT know? who then ended up leaving. A few minutes later, a Hufflepuff called Willow Sun (nickname, not username) said: Bingle Bongle Dingle Dangle, Lickety doo, Lickety da, ping pong licky tacky too taa (from that deleted scene I posted the a few weeks ago). This was the start of me and her/him (I forgot to ask!) having a massive quote battle! Also, Don't Blink started a role-playing session where we went into a closet in an abandoned Hogwarts classroom, which contained a large invisible object. Everyone else was just like "what is it, Don't Blink, tell us! where as I was going "TARDIS!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S THE TARDIS!!!!!!!!!! IT"S JUST GOT THE CLOAKING DEVICE ON!!!!!!!!!!!" Of course, I was right, and after pulling the zig-zag plotter and another lever, I had to go. (just as another puff logged on who's nickname was Impossible Girl!)

2. Crazy ancient TARDIS cave paintings!

This morning, I watched this crazy film called Koyaanisqatsi, that was basically just a load of random sped up videos of the Earth, but it showed this cave painting from millions of years ago, painted by the Hopi tribe. Just look at it!

It looks EXACTLY like the TARDIS! In my opinion, that's solid proof that the Doctor exists. What? He could have gone back in time, met the Hopi tribe, saved their civilization from a Sycorax or something invasion, then they painted a picture of the TARDIS in his honor! Right? ... Right!? *sighs*

3. Awesome fake 50th trailer!

So, I'm sure you've all seen the supposed trailer for the 50th anniversary, that everyone thought was real, but was actually fake.  Apparently, if you look REALLY closely, you can see clips from The End of Time, The Rings of Akhaten, and Hide. But can we please take a moment to appreciate just how AWESOME it was!?

BRING BACK KITTY SLADE!!!!!

I know this has nothing to do with what this blog is actually supposed to be about, but I HAVE TO POST THIS! If you've read some of my posts on my other blog, you'll know that I am a MASSIVE fan of the Kitty Slade series of books by Fiona Dunbar. But I was looking at her blog the other day and saw a post called NO MORE KITTY SLADE!!!!! So, I decided to start working on OPERATION: Persuade Orchard to let Fiona Dunbar write the 5th Kitty Slade book! (catchy title, right?)

What I've decided to do is post other publicity posts like this on my other blog and my deviantART page, and write to the publishers with a list of people who have read Kitty Slade and enjoyed it!

How you can help:

1. If you haven't read the Kitty Slade books yet, read them. NOW. The books are called:
Divine Freaks;
Fire and Roses;
Venus Rocks;
and Raven Hearts.
They're about a girl called Kitty Slade (in case you hadn't guessed) who has a rare condition called Phantorama, which enables her to see ghosts. She then ends up solving a load of mysteries with her brother and sister, helping a load of ghosts finally rest in peace. Hopefully, if they get enough sales, a fifth book will be added to that list!

2. If you've read the books and enjoyed them, please leave a comment telling me if you want you're name added to the letter!

Thank you!

ATTENTION WHOVIANS. THERE HAS BEEN A SLIGHT RULE CHANGE CONCERNING THE SERIES 7 POLL

So I logged on to the my blog today, expecting to see some great results on the recently closed poll, and I saw:

*drumroll*

TWO VOTES!

Wait, that's not a lot, is it? And one of them was mine. And the other was my friend's...

<- this is me

So, I've decided to change the poll's ending date to 23rd July. If you are a whovian, and not just some creep who spends all day clicking on next blog on the navbar, PLEASE VOTE ON MY POLL! In fact, even if you're not a whovian but watched a couple of series 7 episodes, i'd really appreciate it if you just voted anyway ^ _ ^

PS: Yes, I know the title's from the Hunger Games, BUT the Hunger Games IS actually related to doctor who! Kind of... Well anyway, the person who played the Dream Lord in Amy's Choice also played Claudius Templesmith in the Hunger Games... So... Yeah *runs and hides in a corner of shame*

Funny Non-Whovian and usually idiotic reactions to DW references #1

Catchy title, right? Anyway, I thought I'd share with you this hilarious moment that happened to me at school today (I didn't give away any real names for security purposes):

Random Idiot: (obviously waiting for an answer that he could tease my friend about) Where are you from?

Whovian friend one of the last of his kind :( : Gallifrey

Random Idiot: (honestly not knowing) Where's that? Is it in Wales?

Me: *facepalms* No, it's in the Kasterborous constellation.

Random Idiot: Is that in Wales?

Me: *thinking*  What!? Does he seriously not even know what a constellation is?

Random Idiot: DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE GALLIFREY IS!?

Me and Whovian friend: *bursts into fits of laughter*

Unfortunately, no one else in my DT class is a whovian, so they didn't answer, leaving 'Random Idiot', as I called him in this it's a surprisingly accurate description! pestering 'Whovian friend' (God, my made up names are terrible) about Wales for the rest of the lesson...

And I just realised, I really hope 'Random Idiot' doesn't read this blog... dunno why he would to be honest as he didn't even know where Gallifrey was

Monday 10 June 2013

I know Japanese now. Japanese is cool.

Back on New Earth, I learned a bit of Japanese, so I had an idea. Why not teach all you whovians how to say "Bow ties are cool"! Unfortunately, I have no idea how to get the hiragana (Japanese alphabet) symbols on this computer, so I'll just have to use the romaji (japanese using english letters): Cho nekutai wa kakkoiidesu!
I might do some more of these Japanese thingys, so stay tuned or whatever you're supposed to say on a blog !

I HATE PEARS! Blink edition.

So, I was reciting that speech about the weeping angels that the doctor gave Sally Sparrow, you know, as you do, when I accidentally came out with "Don't Blink. Don't even blink. Blink, and you're dead. John Smith is a character I made up but I won't know... wait... what?" The last part was from a deleted scene from Human Nature, if you haven't seen it, watch it below.

So, I decided to combine the Blink speech and the 'I HATE PEARS!' part of the deleted scene, and made this:

"FIVE! Very important. Five. Don't let me blink. I CAN"T BLINK! John Smith is a character I made up, but I won't know that. I'll think I am him and he might do something stupid like blink. In three months, I don't want to wake up from being human and find myself in the past."

Yes, I know that was terrible.

Tuesday 4 June 2013

Thank Rassilon! I finally thought of a great person to play the twelfth doctor!

So I know all of you lot think that the twelfth doctor should be played by people such as Rupert Grint, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zac Efron, Spongebob Squarepants, etc. etc.,  but I have come up with a brand new probably not but whatever idea!

*drumroll*

Mathew Baynton!

"Who on Gallifrey is that!?" I hear you cry! Well, he's that guy from Horrible Histories who played Charles II and Pachacuti and a ton of others.

^This is him^

Poll details

You may have noticed that I've added a best episode of series 7 poll to the blog. In two weeks time, when the results come in, I'll re-watch the episode with the most votes and do a live reactions-to-the-episode-typeathon! So, get voting, whovians!

Oh No! Matt's leaving!

*WARNING* MASSIVE RANT AHEAD! *WARNING*

Whether you saw it on the news, or frantically refreshed doctorwhotv.com this morning, along with every other day, until it came up like I did, the BBC have now confirmed that the eleventh doctor is regenerating in this year's Christmas special. These are the main three reactions that I have seen so far:

 1. Normal Whovian reaction: "Matt Smith's leaving? NO! I really liked him as the doctor. *sobs*"

I can understand why you're saying this, that was my reaction at first, but think back to when Tennant was first confirmed to be leaving. Everyone thought that they would HATE the new doctor, but then after a series or two, eleven grew into the bow-tie obsessed alien that we all know and love.

2. People who only watched DW because they had a crush on David Tennant/didn't give eleven a chance after series 5: "HA! Good riddance. He was terrible anyway! Ten was a million times better, twelve will have some competition. Although, he (she?) will easily beat Matt Smith. Anyone could do a better job than him."

This is what most of my friends are like. Let me share my thoughts with you. HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT?!?!?!?!?!? I AGREE SERIES 5 WAS TERRIBLE BUT YOU CAN'T JUDGE A WHOLE PERSON OFF ONE TV SERIES! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO LEAVE HATE COMMENTS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!! THERE! I WENT AND DID IT! I USED 11 EXCLAMATION MARKS INSTEAD OF TEN! HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT, HMMM? *clears throat* Sorry, I just had to get that out there. But seriously people, I know Ten was BRILLIANT, but we have to move on! And to those of you who didn't watch series 7 because you're not giving eleven a chance, you're missing out on a LOT.

3.  The Clara fangirls and/or Whoufflepuff reaction: "But we didn't even get ONE series with eleven and Clara! :("

Technically, if you include AotD, The Snowmen, the 50th and this year's Christmas special, we're only one episode short of a whole series. And if nine and Rose is anything to go by, they only had 13 episodes, but they weren't forgotten, and then Ten came along and did an even better job. So, look on the bright side! The same might happen with Twelve and Clara!

And now for the big question: Doctor Who? Who will play the twelfth doctor? To be honest, I can't think of an actor that would be perfect, but I'm happy as long as it's not John Hurt's doctor who was pretty much confirmed to be the one from the time war anyway because that would just be weird. Post in the comments who you think twelve should be played by.

Random plot Generator

6 lines of JavaScript that write Doctor Who plots indistinguishable from the current series...  This generator is obviously meant as a joke, but I think Steven Moffat could get a lot of ideas from it!

Example:

A robot materialises inside the TARDIS, with a message from Gallifrey, and the TARDIS team are immediately worshipped as gods. The Doctor and his friend discover the last Cybermen. A mysterious figure who claims to be from the Doctor’s future saves the day. Judi Dench is the voice of the video-link.

Welcome to Trenzalore!

Hello! And welcome to the Fields of Trenzalore! My name is Rothin, a catkind and MASSIVE whovian! I love anything and everything about doctor who (well, apart from series 5 *shudders at the BBC's attempt at making it more 'child-friendly'*) and I may or may not quote it about 11 times a day... and look up if anyone mentions the word doctor... yeah, I suppose my obsession is starting to become a problem, but I guess that's one of the reasons I started this blog, as none of my real-life friends will listen anymore... Most of the time I will be role-playing as my worlds-in-time-self, Rothin, like I did just then (technically my WIT self is called Rothini, but Rothin sounds a lot better), but when I'm not role-playing, I'll use this blue text. Hope you enjoy, whovians!
