Pottermore, Cave Paintings, and OMG AWESOME (yet fake) 50th anniversary trailer.

Ok, so today's post will be in 3 parts:

1. Pottermore

I was on Pottermore yesterday for the first time in a while (HexAuror27671 in case you want to friend me!) and I had a new friend request. Who's status just happened to be "Doctor Who Rules!! <3" After a short fangirling heart attack, I clicked on the Hufflepuff common room, thinking this Who-fest was over. But hello again! I spotted two people who I'd never talked to before, one's nickname was Clara Oswald, and the other's nickname was Don't Blink! Those two and another person had just started a conversation about the show, and of course, I joined in. Eventually, we got a load of Hufflepuffs asking what Doctor Who was I mean, honestly, how could they NOT know? who then ended up leaving. A few minutes later, a Hufflepuff called Willow Sun (nickname, not username) said: Bingle Bongle Dingle Dangle, Lickety doo, Lickety da, ping pong licky tacky too taa (from that deleted scene I posted the a few weeks ago). This was the start of me and her/him (I forgot to ask!) having a massive quote battle! Also, Don't Blink started a role-playing session where we went into a closet in an abandoned Hogwarts classroom, which contained a large invisible object. Everyone else was just like "what is it, Don't Blink, tell us! where as I was going "TARDIS!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S THE TARDIS!!!!!!!!!! IT"S JUST GOT THE CLOAKING DEVICE ON!!!!!!!!!!!" Of course, I was right, and after pulling the zig-zag plotter and another lever, I had to go. (just as another puff logged on who's nickname was Impossible Girl!)

2. Crazy ancient TARDIS cave paintings!

This morning, I watched this crazy film called Koyaanisqatsi, that was basically just a load of random sped up videos of the Earth, but it showed this cave painting from millions of years ago, painted by the Hopi tribe. Just look at it!

It looks EXACTLY like the TARDIS! In my opinion, that's solid proof that the Doctor exists. What? He could have gone back in time, met the Hopi tribe, saved their civilization from a Sycorax or something invasion, then they painted a picture of the TARDIS in his honor! Right? ... Right!? *sighs*

3. Awesome fake 50th trailer!

So, I'm sure you've all seen the supposed trailer for the 50th anniversary, that everyone thought was real, but was actually fake.  Apparently, if you look REALLY closely, you can see clips from The End of Time, The Rings of Akhaten, and Hide. But can we please take a moment to appreciate just how AWESOME it was!?

BRING BACK KITTY SLADE!!!!!

I know this has nothing to do with what this blog is actually supposed to be about, but I HAVE TO POST THIS! If you've read some of my posts on my other blog, you'll know that I am a MASSIVE fan of the Kitty Slade series of books by Fiona Dunbar. But I was looking at her blog the other day and saw a post called NO MORE KITTY SLADE!!!!! So, I decided to start working on OPERATION: Persuade Orchard to let Fiona Dunbar write the 5th Kitty Slade book! (catchy title, right?)

What I've decided to do is post other publicity posts like this on my other blog and my deviantART page, and write to the publishers with a list of people who have read Kitty Slade and enjoyed it!

How you can help:

1. If you haven't read the Kitty Slade books yet, read them. NOW. The books are called:
Divine Freaks;
Fire and Roses;
Venus Rocks;
and Raven Hearts.
They're about a girl called Kitty Slade (in case you hadn't guessed) who has a rare condition called Phantorama, which enables her to see ghosts. She then ends up solving a load of mysteries with her brother and sister, helping a load of ghosts finally rest in peace. Hopefully, if they get enough sales, a fifth book will be added to that list!

2. If you've read the books and enjoyed them, please leave a comment telling me if you want you're name added to the letter!

Thank you!

ATTENTION WHOVIANS. THERE HAS BEEN A SLIGHT RULE CHANGE CONCERNING THE SERIES 7 POLL

So I logged on to the my blog today, expecting to see some great results on the recently closed poll, and I saw:

*drumroll*

TWO VOTES!

Wait, that's not a lot, is it? And one of them was mine. And the other was my friend's...

<- this is me

So, I've decided to change the poll's ending date to 23rd July. If you are a whovian, and not just some creep who spends all day clicking on next blog on the navbar, PLEASE VOTE ON MY POLL! In fact, even if you're not a whovian but watched a couple of series 7 episodes, i'd really appreciate it if you just voted anyway ^ _ ^

PS: Yes, I know the title's from the Hunger Games, BUT the Hunger Games IS actually related to doctor who! Kind of... Well anyway, the person who played the Dream Lord in Amy's Choice also played Claudius Templesmith in the Hunger Games... So... Yeah *runs and hides in a corner of shame*

Funny Non-Whovian and usually idiotic reactions to DW references #1

Catchy title, right? Anyway, I thought I'd share with you this hilarious moment that happened to me at school today (I didn't give away any real names for security purposes):

Random Idiot: (obviously waiting for an answer that he could tease my friend about) Where are you from?

Whovian friend one of the last of his kind :( : Gallifrey

Random Idiot: (honestly not knowing) Where's that? Is it in Wales?

Me: *facepalms* No, it's in the Kasterborous constellation.

Random Idiot: Is that in Wales?

Me: *thinking*  What!? Does he seriously not even know what a constellation is?

Random Idiot: DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE GALLIFREY IS!?

Me and Whovian friend: *bursts into fits of laughter*

Unfortunately, no one else in my DT class is a whovian, so they didn't answer, leaving 'Random Idiot', as I called him in this it's a surprisingly accurate description! pestering 'Whovian friend' (God, my made up names are terrible) about Wales for the rest of the lesson...

And I just realised, I really hope 'Random Idiot' doesn't read this blog... dunno why he would to be honest as he didn't even know where Gallifrey was

I know Japanese now. Japanese is cool.

Back on New Earth, I learned a bit of Japanese, so I had an idea. Why not teach all you whovians how to say "Bow ties are cool"! Unfortunately, I have no idea how to get the hiragana (Japanese alphabet) symbols on this computer, so I'll just have to use the romaji (japanese using english letters): Cho nekutai wa kakkoiidesu!
I might do some more of these Japanese thingys, so stay tuned or whatever you're supposed to say on a blog !

I HATE PEARS! Blink edition.

So, I was reciting that speech about the weeping angels that the doctor gave Sally Sparrow, you know, as you do, when I accidentally came out with "Don't Blink. Don't even blink. Blink, and you're dead. John Smith is a character I made up but I won't know... wait... what?" The last part was from a deleted scene from Human Nature, if you haven't seen it, watch it below.

So, I decided to combine the Blink speech and the 'I HATE PEARS!' part of the deleted scene, and made this:

"FIVE! Very important. Five. Don't let me blink. I CAN"T BLINK! John Smith is a character I made up, but I won't know that. I'll think I am him and he might do something stupid like blink. In three months, I don't want to wake up from being human and find myself in the past."

Yes, I know that was terrible.
