wow ok so literally every post on this blog causes me to cringe so much that i have to lie down for an hour but since the new series is coming up i should should probably give a summary, so:

Prequel:

On September 15-16 there are 3D cinema screenings of Dark Water and Death in Heaven, and an 'exclusive' prequel entitled "The Doctor's Meditation" will be shown afterwards. And guess what! It's America only!!!!!!!! That makes perfect sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY SINCE DOCTOR WHO IS A BRITISH TV SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's supposedly a prequel to TMA/TWF, but for some reason it's set in the Viking era/medieval times, like 'The Girl who Died' and 'The Woman who Lived'.

And a gang of peasants

Magician's Apprentice/Witch's Familiar (Episodes 1 and 2), written by Moffat:

Starts off with Clara still working at Coal Hill, which she stops at some point in the series. For some reason all the planes stop moving? I'm guessing that's Missy's way of 'communicating'. Clara goes to and/or is kidnapped by UNIT, Kate is there and understandably confused, then Clara goes to and/or is kidnapped by Missy. Missy tells Clara that the Doctor's missing, and they 'team up' to find him. This is the big dalek episode of the series, with loads of daleks from past episodes, and there was a planet in the trailers that looked suspiciously like Skaro. I presume that's where the Doctor's gone. At some point he makes a decision with 'cataclysmic repercussions', and at another point Clara points some sort of pointy thing at Missy, pointedly. Massive cliffhanger, of course, which is why they're not showing it in cinemas. Oh and also apparently there's a creature made entirely of snakes??? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Clara's face. That's always good to see.

Poor Kate. She must have discovered those weird fanfics on tumblr where people ship her with Malcolm Tucker for some reason.

Episodes 3 and 4, written by Toby Whithouse:

'Scary'. All of the weird looking creatures in red lighting from the trailers are probably from these two. Set in an underwater base with a bunch of eye-less zombie things. Involves ghosts, Moffat teased 'What if you could meet your own ghost?' The Doctor and Clara run from something.  Guest actress Sophie Stone, who's deaf, will only speak through sign language, which sounds awesome! (sound probably wasn't the best word to use in that context)

I'm saying nothing.

I didn't plan on including this but I paused at the perfect moment

Girl who Died/Woman who Lived (Episodes 5 and 6), can't remember who they're written by:

The Big Mysterious Masie Williams Episodes™ (still counting on Frobisher the shapeshifting penguin detective). First episode is set in the Viking era, the second in the seventeenth century, and apparently they're only very loosely linked. Antagonists include 'The Fisher King', played by a 7' 7" ex-basketball player, robots, a dragon, a fire-breathing cat, and the Norse god Odin. Throw in the creature made entirely of snakes from Magician's Apprentice and multi-bear from Gravity Falls and you have a perfect two-parter.
(Episode 5 is apparently a 'really good Doctor/Clara one' which could either mean character development or shippy and I'm not saying anything but... that hug from trailer one ... 😏)

Invasion of the Zygons/Inversion of the Zygons (Episodes 7 and 8), I'm going to stop trying to remember who wrote them now:

Acts as a sequel to the 50th, which means Zygons (obviously), UNIT, and Osgood!!! CLARA HAS A BAZOOKA. Since the events of TDotD, the Zygons have made peace with the humans, but then something goes horribly wrong. Osgood 'could be a companion', Capaldi teased, and in the end you never find out if Osgood is a Zygon or not. The UNIT berets return. Features a Zygon chase in a supermarket and a playground. Will probably end up being my favourite episode because I'll just spend the whole time begging for Osgood to be a companion and fawning over Clara Oswald with weapons.

'Characters that no one expected to come back but thank God they are' 1/2

Episode 9, written by Mark Gatiss:

One of those episodes that could be absolutely amazing, or could end up like Love and Monsters (which I personally think is underrated, but anyway). Consists entirely of phone/camcorder footage, and shows followers of the Doctor attempting to take down some alien thing. Some friend of Mark Gatiss with a beard that no one cares about is cast in this episode, as well as transgender actress Bethany Black (which tumblr gave a massive uproar of course, but DWTV didn't mention anything about it.... hmmmm... I wonder why............)

Episode 10:

Rigsy returns! The plot features 'glitches in reality', and was nicknamed by Peter Capaldi as 'the invasion of the invisible streets'. Took up a surprising amount of the second trailer: basically whenever you see the doctor with a red jacket, it's this episode. 'Clara's funny and the Doctor's outrageous', and 'Every scene ends on a cliffhanger'. Leads us in to the final two episodes.

'Characters that no-one expected to come back but thank God they are' 2/2

I'm guessing these are the 'glitches in reality'?

Episodes 11 and 12, I presume written by Moffat:

No idea about the plot, because, you know, it's the finale, but the first episode has Peter Capaldi as the only cast member. I don't quite know how it will work, but an actor like Capaldi is sure to pull it off. Moffat has mentioned at least 30 times already that there will be a huge cliffhanger, definitely the biggest of the series, if not of all time. Something horrible is going to happen to the Doctor and Clara, which has been said by Moffat, but really is not hard to figure out for yourself. Will possibly address why 12 has the same face as Caecilius and John Frobisher. From filming pics we see that in episode 12, the Doctor has his guitar and Clara's in a waitress outfit for some reason? And it's filmed in the same diner as the Impossible Astronaut. My theory is that Clara's gonna die (which was pretty obvious), and the Doctor stumbles across one of her echoes at the end. Cue heartbreak and tears from me, and possibly other people, but mostly me.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING BUT I'M SURE IT WILL BE HORRIBLE

HAPPY 51ST ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!

51 years ago today, at 5:16PM, a sci-fi TV show known as 'Doctor Who' aired on the BBC for the very first time. Obviously more important than that, 28 years ago a fictional character known as 'Clara Oswald' was born. So have a fan art!

You should take a... Deep Breath

WASN'T DEEP BREATH GREAT!?!?!? To show my appreciation this is my list of good things with gifs beneath each one review:

Deep Breath was a fantastic first episode for the 12th (or rather, 14th) Doctor. It introduced him well, and had all the good features of an episode, including:

Action

Serious character development scenes

References to previous episodes

A cameo of Elizabeth Sladen's husband

A certain other cameo that may or may not have reduced thousand of fans to tears

a big scaaary dinosaw!!! :O

The Doctor and Clara coming second in the 'cutest interspecies relationship of the episode' competition

Vastra and Jenny winning said competition

Angry Clara

Sad Clara

Insane Clara

Brave Clara

The Doctor rappin'

Strax

And a new story arc...

I have two theories for that

  1. She's River Song or someone else in the library database (hence 'heaven' - when you were saved, you would live in a perfect world)
  2. She's a regeneration of the Master (this one was just a guess really, she seemed to have a similar personality to him and she has known the doctor for a while - before he regenerated into 12)
If there is anyone who actually reads this blog who has a theory on who Missy/The Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere/The Woman in the Shop is, please leave it in the comments!

Yes hello there it's been a while hasn't it. I thought, as it's only 38 days, 22 hours, 46 minutes and 4 seconds until the first episode of Series 8 airs, it's about time for...

ROSIE'S MASTERPOST OF ALL THE SERIES 8 SPOILERS SHE COULD GET WITHOUT READING THE LEAKED SCRIPTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Part 1)

Ok, so, first thing's first, a quick summary of the trailers:

PALLLLLLLLLLLLLL

HATREEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE (also note the bookshelves on the new TARDIS interior)

And the episodes!!!!!!!!

01. Deep Breath

Plot: Straight after the "KIDNEYS!" scene, the Doctor just so happens to land in Victorian London again, and meets up with Vastra, Jenny and Strax, and hopefully their sonic devices. Either Jack the Ripper, the Clockwork Droids or both are the villains for this episode. Featuring 12 riding a horse, an absolutely-not-noticeable-at-all-nope-nope-there-is-no-way-you-would-spot-this reference to Series 1 episode "The End of the World", a phone call from 11, and an awkward whouffle hug.

Pictures:

The only actual official one of the lot

This is from the trailer and looks like it could be some sort of clockwork droid/cyborg???

yay a horse

yay a vastra

back to your regularly scheduled whouffle

02.

Plot: The Doctor and Clara go iNSIDE A DALEK. (hence the super-ironic "I SEE INTO YOUR SOOOOUUUULLLL") Not much is known about this ep, other than a one word clue of 'Lasagne'

Pictures: wait u mean ur asking for an even more accurate representation than mine hav  u lost ur mind

03. ROBIN HOOOD ROBIN HOOOD RIDING THROUGH THE - tardis (rumored title - 'Robots of Sherwood'

Plot: OWL ROBOTS. Also they meet Robin Hood and do archery for a golden arrow or something???? The Doctor duels Robin with a spoon.

Pictures:

woo yeah medieval clothing

ROBIN HOOOD ROBIN HOOOD UPDATING TWITTERRR~

That's it for now! Tune in next week for Danny Pink, spacesuits and a pokemon cyborg bank owner

Sunday, 2 March 2014

Im back! Technically I never went anywhere, but I haven't posted on here for about 46373283 years. Did I even post about the 50th? No. But your probably all bored of hearing about 12's Doc Martens (except they're not actually Doc Martens), let's talk about the new stuff. Let's talk about Danny Pink.

 < This guy

 < That guy

Hey look a Sherlock poster >

The things he is not.

  1. A new companion.
Ok, sure, he's probably getting way more episodes than Adam, who people still consider a companion, but this is what the BBC said:

Samuel Anderson (The History Boys, Gavin & Stacey, Emmerdale) is set to join the cast of Doctor Who as a recurring character in series 8, which will also introduce Peter Capaldi as the Doctor to millions of viewers for the first time.  Anderson will play Danny Pink, a teacher at Coal Hill School where companion Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) also teaches.
Not. A. Companion. notacompanionnotacompanionnotacompnionnotacompanion.

Necessarily.

     2. Mickey Smith.

Yes, he's probably gonna be in a similar amount of episodes.
Yes, he's a love interest (as shown by a few filming clips where Clara appears to be on a date with him although afterwards she seemed to be quite angry hahaha Whouffle - 1 Clanny - 0 yesssssssssssssss)
Yes, he's black.

But he won't  have the same personality.

If anything he's gonna be the new Ian, with Clara as Barbara and the Doctor as, well, the Doctor, but HA HA! Your theory was flawed again! Where's the Susan, hmmmm!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I get emotional about this ok

The things that he might be

  • Another English teacher
  • A History teacher so he'd just state all the inaccuracies whenever they went anywhere in the past but the Doctor's just laughing in the background
  • I need to know what subject he teaches ok
  • Danny boy from Victory of the Daleks/A Good man goes to War
  • A movie nerd
  • A book nerd
  • A TV nerd
  • Please be a nerd
  • A Youtuber
  • A Blogger
  • Clara's boyfriend (i hope not)
  • Clara's long-lost cousin
  • Clara
  • A Time Lord
  • The Master
  • The 13th Doctor
  • A Dalek
  • A Cyberman
  • The Great Intelligence
  • A Teselecta
  • Evil
  • Good
  • A Souffle
  • A Demigod
  • A God
  • Jenny's son/The Doctor's Grandson (Ian and Susan 2-in-1 good enough for me)
  • Mickey Smith
  • A new companion
  • I'm just going against everything I said before aren't I
  • Gryffindor
  • Ravenclaw
  • Hufflepuff
  • Slytherin
  • A Wizard
  • A Sherlock poster
  • Female
  • Steven Moffat in a paper bag
  • Russell T Davies in a plastic bag
  • Mark Gatiss in a Mycroft bag
  • Kevin the Turkey in human form
  • Me

And if any of those theories are true, you heard it here first!
